This year of the twins' first holidays have been really low key. Sort of non-holidays.
Tonight, their first New Year's Eve, was spent taking a bath, which they hated. But an entire family that smelled of sour milk and vomit meant that everyone needed a bath today.
After their bath they got to wear the outfits that Santa brought them. They are Newborn size, so that means they are growing! I pulled out all their preemie stuff- some things never worn- to be sorted and put away. I also got all their 0-3 month clothes ready to use. We'll probably start putting them in some of those too, even if they don't fit just yet.
This week will be busy too. We're planning a trip to see our nurses on Wednesday or Thursday and then Saturday we're going to Babies R Us. (Amazing what becomes a 'busy' week after you have twins...) At Babies R Us we're getting them a bathtub and some tummy time mats.
Well, it's about half an hour away from the New Year and I hear Reagan fussing for food, so that's how we'll be ringing in our first New Year's as a family...
